Rare fish or legendary fish are the rarest fish in the Play Together game.
Rare fish are blue while legendary fish are pink/purple.
How to catch rare and legendary fish
The fishing rod used: pro rod (ladybugs) or amateur rod (blue rod).
How to fish:
Throw the fishing rod and pull it back if a small shadow appears. Keep doing this until a large shadow appears.
Why not catch a little shadow?
To speed up the fish out, you can skip the fish with small shadows because almost all legendary fish have big shadows.
Legendary fish size
Very small shadow (about the size of a pale bleak fish, Sweetfish): axolotl.
Small shadows (size of rainbow trout, fishbones, stuffed litter): softshell turtle, golden shiner.
Big shadows (fast moving tail): dolphin, ocean sunfish, shark etc.
Very large: whale, inia (dolpink), crocodile etc.
Note: If you only aim for the big shadows then you will not get any income from selling fish.
The success rate of catching legendary fish is not 100% even if you use a magic staff rod.
